Mark Halperin is the author of four volumes of poetry, most recently Time As Distance (New Issues).  He is coauthor of a handbook of prosody, Accent on Meter (NCTE), and co-translator of A Million Premonitions, poems by Russian poet Victor Sosnora (Zephyr Press). He, his wife and their dog live near the Yakima River.
